Fondazione CRT- Cassa di Risparmio di Torino is a private non-profit organization founded in 1991. For 25 years, it has been one of the “engines” of development and growth in Piedmont and the Aosta Valley in three main areas: Art and Culture, Research & Education, Welfare and Territory. It implements projects and resources in the promotion of the arts and cultural activities, the promotion of scientific research and training for young people, support for innovation and social entrepreneurship, assistance to people in need, the preservation of the environment, and the civil protection and first response systems. Particular attention is paid to internationalization, with the dual aim of strengthening local non-profit organizations through the opening to Europe and to the world and, at the same time, attracting new projects and resources to the area. Fondazione CRT also embraces the so-called active philanthropy approach, including venture philanthropy and impact investing.
In 25 years of activity, Fondazione CRT has distributed resources totalling around 1.5 billion euro, which has permitted the realisation of over 37,000 interventions.
Compagnia di San Paolo is one of the most important private foundations in Europe. Created in 1563, its mission is to foster the civil, cultural and economic development in the communities it operates in, pursuing goals of public interest and social usefulness. The income derived from its assets has been saved for centuries and is used for these institutional aims.
Compagnia di San Paolo is active in research and higher education, social policies, health, artistic heritage and cultural activities. It is a member of European Foundation Centre (EFC) and ACRI, the Italian Association of Foundations of Banking Origin and Saving Banks.
Fondazione Cariplo picked up where its predecessor, Cassa di Risparmio delle Provincie Lombarde (Savings Bank of the Lombard Provinces), left off. In fact, since its establishment in Milan on June 12, 1823.
Fondazione Cariplo is committed with passion in philanthropy for over 20 years. Today, Fondazione Cariplo – one of the world’s main philanthropic organizations – is focused on youth, wellbeing and community-based welfare. In 25 years the Foundation supported, with € 2,8 billion, 30,000 projects of nonprofit organizations by selecting grantees and public benefit projects under calls for proposals on four areas: Environment, Arts & Culture, Scientific Research, Human & Social Services.
